Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Program Manager with a strong industrial automation and IT/OT background to lead automation initiatives across multiple pharmaceutical manufacturing sites in Ireland. The role combines project delivery, client relationship management, team development and identification of new business opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Manage industrial automation and digital projects across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Define and maintain project scope, budgets, quality standards and timelines.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and within agreed budgets.
- Coordinate internal teams, contractors, product teams and external stakeholders.
- Manage client communication, feedback and ongoing relationships.
- Identify new project opportunities and support business expansion across Ireland.
- Manage project resources, team onboarding and demand fulfilment.
- Monitor portfolio performance and support P&L management.
- Identify, assess and mitigate project risks.
- Manage changes to project scope, schedules and costs.
- Track milestones and provide regular status reporting to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements, including GxP, CSV and SDLC.
- Partner with product and architecture teams to develop solutions aligned with global standards.
- Coach and manage members of the internal delivery team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Automation or a comparable field.
- At least 8 years of relevant professional experience.
- At least 5 years of recent project or program management experience.
- Strong background in industrial automation and IT/OT project delivery.
- Knowledge of shop-floor automation environments at ISA-95 Levels 2 and 3.
- Experience with DeltaV and ideally PLC, SCADA, DCS or Siemens PCS 7 systems.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, life-sciences or another GxP-regulated manufacturing industry.
- Understanding of CSV, SDLC, change control and regulated project delivery.
- Experience managing budgets, resources, risks, vendors and multiple parallel workstreams.
- Excellent client-facing communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Willingness and ability to visit multiple Irish manufacturing sites approximately four days per week.
