About Your New Job as a Production Team Leader:
  • Provide effective leadership to Line Support Technicians, Material Handlers, and Versatile Operators in the manufacture and assembly of medical devices.
  • Ensure smooth operations by understanding production workflows, equipment, and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot issues and make quick, effective decisions to maintain production efficiency.
  • Oversee headcount planning, recruitment, training, timekeeping, attendance, issue resolution, and performance appraisals.
  • Ensure products meet required specifications by understanding and implementing quality assurance standards and processes.
  • Track and maintain production KPIs, report variances, and drive continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all company health and safety policies and manage all H&S issues on the shift.
  • Efficiently manage inventory levels, ensuring raw materials and components are available when needed.
  • Work well with other departments such as logistics, engineering, and quality assurance to ensure smooth production processes.
What Skills You Need as a Production Team Leader:
  • 3-4 years in a supervisory capacity in a manufacturing environment.
  • Level 7 Supervisory Management Qualification desirable.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, proven leadership and motivational abilities, understanding of budgeting and inventory management, conflict mediation, and strong communication skills.
  • Basic engineering/technical concepts, quality system requirements, lean principles, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
