Job summary

A leading Irish manufacturer is seeking a high-calibre Production Manager to deliver the daily production plan safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have 3–7+ years of experience in Production or Senior Shift Management within food manufacturing and a proactive leadership style. Key responsibilities include executing production plans, driving KPIs, leading safety initiatives, and managing a strong production team. Access to a vehicle and driving license is required for this position.

  • Demonstrated success in highly structured, audited settings (e.g., BRCGS).
  • Access to a car and a full driving license required.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the daily production plan to ensure service levels and schedule adherence.
  • Own production KPIs—Yield, OEE, Waste, and Throughput.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to maintain safety culture.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing production team.

Due to rapid business growth and increasing sales demand, my client, a leading Irish manufacturer of premium pet nutrition products supplying major retail partners across Ireland, Europe, and the USA, is seeking a high‑calibre Production Manager. This pivotal role is responsible for delivering the daily production plan safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Execute the daily production plan to ensure service levels and schedule adherence are consistently met.
  • Performance Leadership: Own production KPIs—including Yield, OEE, Waste, and Throughput—and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • EHS & Compliance: Lead on‑floor EHS execution, conducting risk assessments and safety audits to maintain a best‑in‑class safety culture.
  • Engineering Liaison: Collaborate with Maintenance to maximise equipment uptime and manage robust preventive maintenance schedules.
  • People Management: Recruit, train, and develop a high‑performing production team, fostering engagement and operational excellence.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience: 3–7+ years in Production or Senior Shift Management within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Compliance: Demonstrated success in highly structured, audited settings (e.g., BRCGS).
  • Skills: Strong operational execution in labour planning and downtime reduction, with a proactive and visible leadership style.
  • Education: Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Engineering, or Manufacturing preferred.
  • Transport: Due to location of the site, access to a car and a full driving licence would be a requirement.
