Job summary

Primark is seeking a Product Technologist to lead the technical development and quality assurance of womenswear products across multiple categories, ensuring safety, fit, and commercial viability at all price points.

You will partner with Buying, Design, Compliance and suppliers to translate concepts into high-quality products, drive quality standards through testing, and build strong supplier partnerships to support the womenswear quality strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development and quality assurance of womenswear products across multiple product categories, ensuring products are safe, compliant, fit for purpose, and commercially viable across all price points.
• Partner closely with Buying, Design, Compliance, and supplier teams to translate creative concepts into high-quality products, leveraging expertise in garment construction, fit, patterns, testing, and product development.
• Drive quality standards through robust risk assessment, testing evaluation, product approvals, and competitor benchmarking, ensuring all products meet Primark quality and legal requirements.
• Monitor product performance through testing submissions, returns analysis, customer feedback, and supplier reporting, identifying risks early and delivering effective corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build strong supplier partnerships by leading quality discussions, resolving technical and quality issues, driving process efficiencies, and supporting compliance with Primark quality standards.
• Influence and engage stakeholders at all levels through effective communication, training, and presentations, promoting a culture of quality excellence while supporting the womenswear Quality strategy and improving sampling success rates.

What You’ll Do as a Product Technologist
