Job summary

QT Technologies Ireland Limited is seeking a Security Engineer to perform security assessments, develop security features for hardware and software, and collaborate across functions to ensure product security throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires strong security engineering experience and programming knowledge in C, C++, Java, Python, and SystemVerilog, with opportunities to impact product security and drive risk mitigation efforts. Cork-based position with relocation support where needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Engineering, CS, or related field.
• 3+ years of Security Engineering experience.
• 2+ years of programming experience in C, C++, Java, Python, SystemVerilog, etc.

Responsibilities

• Applies Security knowledge and experience to achieve engineering business objectives.
• Develops new hardware and software security features and updates features into existing products; ensures security of all products is maintained throughout the product lifecycle.
• Performs security assessments and evaluation of company products, including vulnerability and risk assessments, threat analysis, and security code reviews to identify potential design and implementation vulnerabilities.
• Identifies remediation for security risks and vulnerabilities, responds to product security incidents, and assists customers regarding product security related issues.
• Develops and deploys trainings and tools that result in secure product development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of Security Engineering experience or related work experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, System Verilog, etc.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Applies Security knowledge and experience to achieve engineering business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Security Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Security Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
