Job summary

Vantive is seeking a Procurement Specialist to provide global support for Manufacturing Operations categories. You will manage supplier relationships, lead cost reduction projects and negotiate contracts to ensure timely delivery of quality goods and services across Europe.

The role requires in-depth procurement knowledge, stakeholder management, and the ability to coordinate multiple sourcing initiatives in a multinational environment. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering or related areas.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in category management with multinational organizations.
• Experience in contracting to include Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, Amendments and NDAs.
• Strong analytic and negotiation skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple parallel sourcing initiatives across different business groups.

Responsibilities

• Perform in depth spend analysis and market analysis on targeted areas of spend.
• Develop RFI/RFP and lead negotiations for key spend areas to achieve savings targets.
• Support Sr Category Manager in the development and execution of annual saving plans.
• Support and, if required, lead cross functional teams to drive complex sourcing projects.
• Register the projects pipeline in sourcing tools and provide regular reporting on status and benefits.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure buy-in for sourcing projects.
• Apply competitive cost, process benchmarks, financial analysis and risk management techniques.
• Support implementation of the defined sourcing strategy and preferred suppliers across sites in Europe.
• Generate regular reports for the category lead concerning spend categories.
• Drive Supplier Relationship Management with key suppliers and monitor performance.

Job description

The Procurement Specialist will provide global support of the Manufacturing Operations Categories. For this role you will have in-depth technical knowledge of the categories responsible for, as well as stakeholder and supplier management for Indirect Procurement. Responsibilities include proactively leading cost reduction projects, designing and proposing supplier development strategies, negotiations and contracting, making and executing decisions to ensure quality products and services on time according to Vantive’s business needs.

This is a fixed-term contract position for a duration of 12 months.

Duties and responsibilities

• Perform in depth spend analysis and market analysis on targeted areas of spend.
• Support Sr Category Manager in the development and execution of annual saving plans
• Develop RFI/RFP and lead negotiations for key spend areas to achieve short term and long-term savings targets.
• Support and if required lead cross functional teams to successfully drive complex sourcing projects.
• Register the projects pipeline in the appropriate sourcing tools and provide regular reporting as to their status and expected benefits.
• Communicate in a professional and effective way with internal and external stakeholders (senior management and cross functional teams) to ensure the necessary buy-in for the sourcing projects.
• Apply appropriate competitive cost and process benchmarks, financial analysis, and risk management techniques to solve complex issues.
• Support in the implementation of the defined sourcing strategy and preferred suppliers throughout the sites in Europe.
• Generate regular reports for the category lead concerning the categories of spend under your responsibility.
• Drive effective Supplier Relationship Management with key suppliers and monitor performance.

Education and experience required

• University degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering or related areas required.
• Proven experience in people, stakeholder and project management.
• Ability to coordinate multiple parallel sourcing initiatives across different business groups.
• Strong analytic and negotiation skills.
• Business sense and ability to develop critical thinking.
• Experience in contracting to include but not be limited to Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, Amendments and NDAs.
• Understanding of Procurement standard processes, supply markets, suppliers and products.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural and matrix environment.
• Understanding of pricing models and contracts terms
• Strategic, invocative and logical thinking, flexible and able to assess/manage risks
• Ability to create and maintain networks (business and functions)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in category management experience with multinational organizations.
