A recruitment agency is seeking a Procurement Manager with a background in manufacturing or logistics. The successful candidate will develop category strategies for indirect spend and lead supplier negotiations. Minimum of 3 years’ experience required, along with strong analytical and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems are also essential. This role is located in Leinster, Ireland.
Procurement Manager (Indirect) - MANUFACTURING/LOGISTICS BACKGROUND ESSENTIAL
Develop and deliver category strategies for indirect spend areas
Achieve measurable cost savings, service improvements, and supplier efficiencies through data-driven decision-making.
Lead tenders, benchmarking, and contract negotiations to ensure long-term value and supplier performance.
Build and manage supplier relationships to maintain high standards of quality, service, and value.
Lead supplier onboarding, evaluation, and approval in line with company governance requirements.
Oversee supplier contracts, renewals, and ensure compliance with sustainability and internal controls.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and spend analysis for indirect procurement.
Maintain accurate and timely data within ERP and BI systems (NAV, QlikSense, Excel).
Drive continuous improvement in cost control, process efficiency, and risk management.
Lead sustainability initiatives and contribute to environmental reporting and strategy.
Work closely with Procurement, Finance, Engineering, QA, and Operations to optimise indirect spend.
Contribute to cross-functional projects in sustainability, digitalisation, and governance.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving.
Strong negotiation, influencing, and contract management skills.
Excellent analytical and numerical ability; confident using data to inform decisions.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills (essential).
Able to work independently, show initiative, and deliver results under pressure.
Clear and confident communicator with strong stakeholder and presentation skills.
Highly organised, detail-focused, and committed to compliance and improvement.
Comfortable in a fast-paced and changing business environment.
Minimum 3 years’ procurement experience, ideally within FMCG, manufacturing, or logistics.
Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline (CIPS qualification desirable).
Demonstrated success in achieving cost savings and improving supplier performance.
Experience with ERP systems (NAV, SAP, or similar) preferred
