Job summary

NTU International invites applications for a Non-Key Expert – Private Sector Engagement Expert to support activities under the AESPP Boost programme, with a focus on strengthening private sector participation, business development and investment across Africa and Europe’s space ecosystems.

The role requires a Master’s degree or equivalent, 8+ years in private sector development and proven experience engaging companies, entrepreneurs or investors, including market analysis, matchmaking and access

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in economics, business administration, engineering, innovation management, or a related field.
• Alternatively, four additional years of relevant professional experience if such degree is not held.
• Excellent command of English.
• Working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese will be considered an asset.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in private sector development, industrial cooperation, innovation, business development and/or investment facilitation.

Responsibilities

• Support private sector engagement activities under AESPP Boost.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to identify business opportunities for African and European space ecosystems.
• Conduct market/value-chain analysis, and assist in matchmaking, commercialization and access to finance.
• Support investment facilitation and private sector development initiatives across Africa and Europe.

NTU International is preparing a proposal for the project “Support to the Africa-EU Space Partnership Programme – AESPP Boost.”

The programme aims to strengthen cooperation between Africa and the European Union in the space sector, supporting policy dialogue, institutional partnerships, knowledge exchange, innovation, private sector engagement and investment, while contributing to stronger and more sustainable African space ecosystems.

In this context, we are seeking a highly qualified Non-Key Expert – Private Sector Engagement Expert to support activities aimed at strengthening private sector participation, business development, innovation, investment and commercial opportunities within the African and European space ecosystems.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

• University degree at Master’s level in economics, business administration, engineering, innovation management, or a related field. In the absence of such degree, four additional years of relevant professional experience.
• Excellent command of English.
• Working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese will be considered an asset.

Minimum General Professional Experience

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in private sector development, industrial cooperation, innovation, business development and/or investment facilitation.

Minimum Specific Professional Experience

• At least 4 years of professional experience engaging companies, entrepreneurs and/or investors, including market/value-chain analysis, business support, matchmaking, commercialisation and/or access to finance.
• Experience in the space, geospatial or technology sector and in Africa is highly relevant..
