Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to join our Dublin office. This leadership role focuses on delivery of complex projects across residential, healthcare, education and infrastructure sectors. You will mentor teams, drive technical excellence and contribute to growth of our structural practice in Ireland.

The role requires Chartered Engineer status, MIStructE/MICE membership, and a track record of leading multidisciplinary design teams within Ireland. Hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status required.
• MIStructE and/or MICE membership.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary projects in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and delivery of multidisciplinary projects from concept to completion.
• Provide technical oversight and ensure compliance with Eurocodes and Irish regulations.
• Manage project teams, resources and timelines.
• Serve as a main point of contact for clients and external partners.
• Oversee calculations, drawings, specs and reports; mentor junior engineers.
• Support business development and client presentations.
