Job summary

Fidelity Investments is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead a team delivering the equity compensation recordkeeping platform for 500+ Fortune 1000 customers. You will drive real-time data, reporting, and BI features on a modern cloud-ready stack.

You will own technical direction, ensure high performance and quality, and collaborate across tech leads, product, quality engineering, and support to scale delivery globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology field required.
• 8+ years of Java EE development on high-volume enterprise systems.
• Experience building JAVA middle tier REST services and with messaging systems (ActiveMQ, Kafka).
• Experience with PL/SQL and complex queries.
• Understanding of relational databases.
• Knowledge of Cloud computing and DevOps concepts (CI/CD) in AKS/Azure.
• Experience leading engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams to design, develop and deliver scalable equity recordkeeping features.
• Provide technical leadership and foster a healthy learning environment.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and operations to enable global experiences.
