Job summary

SOTI Ireland – Research & Development Office in Galway invites a Principal Software Developer to lead architectural direction across Signal and Location Services and SOTI applications. You will craft scalable APIs, UIs, and backend systems, mentor teams, and drive best practices in an agile, global context.

You will own the Location Services architecture and its integration with SOTI ONE, working with cross-functional leaders to deliver high-impact solutions while embracing modern technologies

Qualifications

• Define and communicate the technical vision for future architecture of Signal and Location Services and other SOTI applications.
• Design and build APIs, web UIs, and backend components to realize the vision.
• Own architecture for Location Services and integration with SOTI ONE platform.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and lead their adoption across the organization.
• Strong CS background with math, algorithms, data structures, design patterns and software architecture.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design core components of SOTI’s products, including APIs, services, middleware, and user interfaces.
• Write clean, maintainable C# code for major architectural components, contributing directly to product development.
• Own and drive non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and security - from ideation to implementation.
• Document and advocate best practices in software design, coding standards, and engineering principles across teams.
• Review and guide development teams on design decisions, performance optimization, and secure coding practices.
