Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. in Cork seeks a Principal Mixed-Signal Design Engineer to advance ADC, DAC, and SerDes PHY subsystems in state-of-the-art SoC products. You will develop architectures, perform transistor-level design, and lead subsystem development.

This role requires 10+ years of experience, MS in Electrical Engineering, strong leadership and collaboration. You will mentor engineers, guide layout and evaluation, and contribute to design reviews in a cutting-edge environment.

Qualifications

  • MS Electrical Engineering required.
  • 10+ years of mixed-signal IC development experience.
  • Deep understanding of data converter and/or SerDes PHY architectures.
  • Strong fundamentals in mixed-signal design, tools and methods.
  • Experience in IC product development lifecycle and qualification.
  • Proven record of leading mixed-signal IC projects.

Principal Mixed-Signal Design Engineer

As a Principal Mixed-Signal Design Engineer within the Advanced Cores Group (ACG) you will work on the development of ADC, DAC, and/or SerDes PHY subsystems for highly sophisticated mixed-signal system-on-chip (SoC) integrated circuit products using FinFET wafer technologies. The Advanced Cores Group develops innovative, state of the art, high-performance circuits as often shown by presentations at premier conferences and publications in premier journals. Your work will include:

  • Developing and selecting mixed-signal subsystem implementation architectures.
  • Designing challenging transistor-level mixed-signal integrated circuits.
  • Preparing effective design documents and conduct effective design reviews.
  • Leading mixed-signal integrated circuit subsystem development efforts.
  • Mentoring mixed-signal design engineers.
  • Guiding mixed-signal integrated circuit layout.
  • Guiding mixed-signal integrated circuit evaluation and test.
Qualifications
  • MS Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of mixed-signal integrated circuit development experience.
  • Deep understanding of data converter architectures and specifications and/or deep understanding of SerDes PHY architectures and specifications
  • Deep understanding of mixed-signal design fundamentals, design tools, and methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of integrated circuit product development, including design, verification, evaluation, test, and qualification.
  • Successful experience developing challenging mixed-signal integrated circuits for commercial applications.
  • Strong technical leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
