Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions in Dublin seeks a Principal Data Scientist to drive advanced data science and ML/AI initiatives for insurance solutions. You will lead cross-functional projects, shape the technical roadmap, and develop scalable models and data products across cloud platforms.

The role emphasizes collaboration with data science peers and stakeholders, delivering impactful analytics, and mentoring teams while advancing governance and ethical AI practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in data science or related field.
• Strong programming in Python or R (Python preferred), with Azure ML Flow and/or Spark experience.
• 3+ years of industry experience with mathematical modelling and production deployment.
• Experience building robust data pipelines and data processing (Avro/Parquet/JSON/XML).
• Proficient SQL and experience with relational/non-relational databases.
• Excellent communication and ability to present complex analyses clearly.
• MLOps exposure; Azure ML/storage; Databricks; Linux; Git; model governance.
