Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants seeks a Principal Civil Engineer to lead a civil team across Dublin, Galway or Cork. The role requires 6+ years post graduate Civil Engineering experience, design input for drainage and watermain schemes, and chartered status with Engineers Ireland.

You will deliver large-scale projects, manage a small team, coordinate with clients and multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to career progression within a respected, award-winning consultancy with offices

Qualifications

• Honours Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• The successful Civil Engineer should have 6+ years post graduate Civil Engineering experience within an engineering consultancy.
• Chartered with Engineers Ireland.
• Experience in drainage and watermain design.
• Ability to communicate effectively and prioritise/manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Lead a civil team within a multidisciplinary office on varied projects (residential, industrial, commercial, logistics).
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, sub-contractors, suppliers and in-house resources to ensure timely, within-budget delivery.
• Manage a small team of engineers.
• Project scheduling and resource planning to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of all process steps.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders and coordinate with other disciplines.
