Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Dublin is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to lead the design and delivery of civil projects, working with a diverse multidisciplinary team across aviation, education, residential, healthcare, industrial, commercial, and energy sectors for both public and private clients.

The role emphasizes drainage and watermain design, with involvement in road design principles and the preparation of reports.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer with EI or equivalent.
• Experience leading local civil engineering projects.
• Ability to mentor and lead small teams.
• Proficient in drainage and watermain design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects.
• Design input and oversight of Civil aspects of projects with a focus on drainage and watermain design.
• Good knowledge of basic road design principles.
• Preparation and review of project reports (Planning, Tender, Construction Stage).
• Communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Preparation and review of design calculations.
• Undertaking duties of Ancillary Certifier for the Civil engineering discipline on building projects.
• Lead a small team of civil engineers and technicians.
• Mentor and develop junior members of the team.
