Job summary

INFORM3 Recruitment has a Quality Inspector role based in Co. Galway. The successful candidate will carry out visual and dimensional inspections of finished parts, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and internal drawings.

You will also approve parts and provide feedback to machinists on quality issues, while recording results and handling CoCs/FAIs. Ideal applicants have 2+ years with inspection tools, CNC awareness, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience with inspection and measurement equipment, such as calipers, micrometers and height gauges.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of machining processes, particularly CNC and lathes, is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel or similar software.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out visual and dimensional inspections of finished products.
  • Approve finished parts and provide feedback to machinists on quality issues.
  • Record inspection results and complete relevant quality documentation.
  • Complete customer paperwork, including CoCs and FAIs.
  • Operate vision inspection systems.
  • Support other quality-related activities as required.
