Job summary

An established accountancy firm in Co. Meath is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant. The successful candidate will provide administrative support, manage office services, and assist in employee onboarding. A minimum of 3 years in a similar financial role is required. This position offers a salary range of €45,000 to €55,000, along with bonus potential, hybrid working, and a 4-day working week option.

Job description

Our client is an established Accountancy firm based in Co. Meath. They currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant with a strong financial background to join their growing team. The successful candidate will work with a diverse range of clients across various industries, assisting with all aspects of the accounting lifecycle. This ambitious individual will thrive on working as part of a dynamic team and delivering first-in-class client services.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide full administrative support to the Partners of the firm.
  • Management of the general services and facilities for the office.
  • Point of contact for general office and facility‑related matters.
  • Assist with the organization of employee events and employee training.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding/inductions as well as assisting with processes involved for exiting employees.
  • Be a representative for the company at recruitment fairs.
  • Managing the firm’s IT, software and hardware systems, with the assistance of external IT consultants.
  • Managing system application contract renewals and other contracts such as mobile phones.
  • Manage AML compliance for the firm.
  • Cover for Company Secretarial Specialist while on annual leave.
  • Managing bespoke and one‑off projects.
  • Managing health and safety.
  • Assisting teams during busy periods, such as scanning, preparation of packs etc.
  • Getting involved in other ad‑hoc projects and administration tasks when necessary.
Requirements
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role from a busy organisation in a financial setting.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • This can suit a candidate who has previous experience as a ‘Practice Manager’.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Virtual Cabinet (Document Management System) – desirable.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
