Job summary

Role Description

The Pharmacy Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mallow. The Pharmacy Assistant supports the daily operations of the pharmacy, including handling customer queries, and providing clear, courteous service at the counter and by phone. Day-to-day tasks include managing stock levels, checking deliveries, organizing shelves, and helping maintain accurate inventory records. The role also involves operating the cash register, processing payments, and ensuring the pharmacy environment is clean, safe, and well-presented . Reporting to the pharmacy manager daily.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong pharmacy-related skills, including basic prescription processing knowledge and familiarity with pharmacy operations.
• Candidates should possess excellent customer service and phone etiquette skills to interact professionally and respectfully with all clients.
• Candidates should possess inventory management skills, including stock control, ordering support, and accurate record-keeping.
• Candidates should possess good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a busy environment.
• Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting, retail experience, and comfort with basic computer systems and point-of-sale tools would be beneficial.
• A relevant pharmacy assistant or healthcare qualification, and a strong commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and patient safety would be advantageous.
