Job summary

AbbVie in Ireland is seeking a quality-focused QC Laboratory Analyst to conduct chemical and physical tests on excipients, raw materials and final products, ensuring compliance with cGMP and regulatory standards. You will operate analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV/Vis and FTIR, report deviations, maintain data integrity and participate in 6S initiatives to drive Right First Time outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related Science.
  • Knowledge of cGMP requirements and FDA USP guidance.
  • Experience with USP instrumental techniques (HPLC, GC, UV/Vis) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests and analyze samples to ensure compliance with standards and production targets.
  • Report deviations to supervisor and communicate issues promptly.
  • Provide status updates on activities and productivity according to procedures.
  • Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with FDA, GLP, QSR and cGMP regulations and SOPs.
  • Complete and conform to all training requirements for the role.
  • Observe safety and compliance procedures and highlight safety concerns.
  • Contribute to the on-site safety culture and 6S initiatives.
  • Support Right First Time and other departmental goals.
