Job summary

A leading pharmaceutical company in Dublin is looking for an EHS Specialist to enhance health and safety compliance at their manufacturing site. This permanent role includes overseeing safety programs, maintaining compliance registers, and supporting audits and investigations. Ideal candidates will have relevant experience in a site-based environment and a strong knowledge of EHS legislation. Flexibility for remote work may be available.

Responsibilities

• Lead existing Safety Programmes including Chemical Management and Ergonomics.
• Compile and maintain the Health and Safety Legislative Register.
• Support maintenance of safety management systems to best practices.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
• Promote Health & Safety via competitions and awareness initiatives.
• Support operational excellence and digitization of site systems.
• Participate in Project Teams for health and safety assessments.
• Support accident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Ensure waste management compliance with regulations.

Skills

Site-based environmental, health and safety experience

Strong knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety Legislation

Proven track record of maintaining compliance

Ability to communicate requirements clearly

Education

Educated to degree level in Science, Engineering or equivalent EHS discipline

Background in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

Postgraduate qualification in Health and Safety
