Job summary

Baptist Health's Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist. The role is cross trained in Pediatrics and the NICU, full-time, day shift.

You will assess, treat, and advocate for patients with respiratory disorders, administering therapies, monitoring ventilators, and collaborating with care teams. Minimum credentials include RRT with Florida DOH license and BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified respiratory therapist with current license.
• Associate degree in sciences preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.
• Florida Licensed Respiratory Therapist (DOH) required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and care for patients with respiratory disorders.
• Administer respiratory therapies and monitor patient response.
• Perform pulmonary function tests and interpret results.
• Manage and monitor mechanical ventilators.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams on treatment plans.
• Educate patients and support respiratory care education.
• Maintain accurate patient records and progress notes.
