Job Summary

We are seeking a Payroll Specialist (6 month contract) to support the accurate and timely processing of payroll across multiple regions. This person will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local regulations, maintaining payroll data integrity, and collaborating with internal stakeholders and external payroll providers. The ideal candidate will have global payroll processing experience, excellent attention to detail, and a strong understanding of statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately prepare and process payroll for employees and contractors across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local tax laws, statutory deductions, and reporting obligations.
  • Liaise with external payroll providers globally to ensure efficient and accurate payroll processing.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information, including updates for new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation or benefits.
  • Perform monthly payroll reconciliations, ensuring payroll accounts (tax, pension, benefits, etc.) are balanced and discrepancies resolved promptly.
  • Respond to employee payroll-related queries with professionalism and efficiency, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes, enhance accuracy, and support ongoing payroll modernisation initiatives.
Skills & Knowledge Required
  • 4+ years’ experience in payroll processing, ideally across multiple countries or regions.
  • Solid understanding of payroll legislation, tax, and social security compliance.
  • Experience working with external payroll vendors or bureaus
  • Proficiency with payroll and finance systems (experience with NetSuite is advantageous).
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to numerical accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.

New hires at Cubic are required to work onsite five days a week during their six-month probation period to get to know the company, their team, and our ways of working. After probation, we offer a flexible arrangement of up to eight work-from-home days per month, provided it aligns with business needs and performance standards.
