Job summary

Specsavers in Wilton, Cork is hiring a Trainee Optical Assistant. We aren’t looking for years of experience, just passionate, hard-working people who can warmly welcome customers, book eye tests, and help with frame fitting.

You’ll receive extensive training and the chance to grow within the store. The role is part-time, with weekends on Saturdays and Sundays, and offers a starting rate of €14.15 per hour in a supportive, customer-focused team.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are valued.
• Friendly, approachable manner suited to customer service.
• Willingness to learn and participate in training programs.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the store and assist with their needs.
• Book eye tests and pre-screen patients.
• Provide style advice and help measure frames.
• Take phone calls and coordinate appointments.
