Job summary

Qualifications

• Be registered in the Children’s Nurse Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
• Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development
• Possess the knowledge and ability to discharge the functions of the role with clinical, managerial and administrative capacity

Responsibilities

• Provide care planning, delivery and evaluation for a caseload of children with life-limiting conditions in acute and community settings
• Coordinate services to improve quality of life for children and families and to facilitate care at home where possible
• Act as a resource and link person for families and health/social care professionals
• Collaborate with primary care services, PHNs, disability services and voluntary organisations
