KILLARNEY TELECOMMUNICATIONS LIMITED is seeking an experienced Overhead Lines Worker to install, repair and maintain HV/LV networks. The role requires climbing at height, safe working practices and owning tasks in a dynamic environment. A valid full driving licence and relevant safety certificates are essential.

Based in the Midlands region, the position emphasizes safety culture and efficient fault restoration, with MEWP support as needed and a focus on client specifications.

Qualifications

• All relevant H&S accreditation and certification (Safepass, Climbing & Rescue etc)
• Full Drivers Licence - as required
• Utility Approved Qualified Overhead Lines Worker for 10kv/20kv/LV networks
• Experience with Fibre is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair and refurbish high voltage overhead electrical lines and systems.
• Operate the network to facilitate outages associated with emergency repairs and maintenance of the network.
• Carry out emergency repairs to electrical lines in emergencies such as lightning, wind, ice, or ground disruptions.

Ability to climb and work at height (up to 50m) on poles and towers in a safe and professional manor, utilising Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP’s) when required.Operate the network to facilitate outages associated with emergency repairs and maintenance of the network.Carry out emergency repairs to electrical lines in emergency situations such as lightning, wind, ice storm, or ground disruptions.Utilise live working procedures to undertake maintenance and repairs of the network where outages cannot be granted.Carry out all works in compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation, standards, and procedures.
