Job summary

Blackrock Health Hermitage Clinic in Lucan, Co. Dublin, is looking for an Orthopaedic Theatre Healthcare Assistant. You will work under RGN supervision, assisting with arthroplasty procedures, preparing theatres, and supporting safe, patient-centred perioperative care.

This permanent, full-time role requires Leaving Cert, theatre experience, and knowledge of orthopaedic instrumentation. You will contribute to infection control, stock management, and teamwork across the theatre and clinical areas.

Qualifications

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced theatre environment.
• Previous hospital experience.
• Orthopaedic or Theatre experience.
• Experience supporting arthroplasty procedures.
• Knowledge of orthopaedic instrumentation and implants.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and delivery of orthopaedic procedures, under supervision.
• Support consultant-led theatre lists and patient flow.
• Maintain infection prevention, patient safety, and quality care.
• Manage theatre stock, equipment readiness and cleaning.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth perioperative care.
