Purpose of the role

The role of the Operational Lead for Access - Scheduled and Unscheduled Care (General Manager) is to lead and optimise patient access, flow, and bed and waiting list management across all admissions and discharges at St. James’s Hospital, ensuring efficient coordination, compliance with national targets, and delivery of high-quality care through proactive management, strategic planning, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
