Job summary

The University of Limerick Library invites applications for an Open Research Manager to lead strategies for making UL research openly accessible and widely available internationally, enhancing research excellence and impact.

Based in the Library Research Services, the role is the institution's primary expert in open access, scholarly communications, and research metrics, providing training, advisory support, policy engagement, and strategic development of the institutional repository.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the institutional repository, including its operations, team, and strategic development.
• Provide hands-on advisory, training, and advocacy for researchers at all career stages.
• Act as UL’s primary expert in open access publishing, scholarly communications, and responsible use of research metrics.
• Support UL’s NORF 100% Open Access target and Wisdom for Action 2022–2027 commitments.
