Job summary

eir evo talent is seeking an EHSS Specialist in Athlone, Ireland to support the implementation and continuous improvement of Environment, Health, Safety and Security programmes across manufacturing, laboratories, warehouses and utilities.

The role provides professional EHSS support to operations, engineering and project teams, ensuring compliance with Irish legislation and corporate standards while fostering a strong safety culture through risk management, training and audits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Science or related discipline.
• Professional Health & Safety qualification.
• Understanding of Irish Health & Safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Support the Health & Safety Management System implementation and maintenance.
• Conduct routine inspections, audits and compliance assessments.
• Facilitate risk assessments and corrective actions.
• Support permit-to-work activities and contractor safety management.
• Promote behavioural safety and employee engagement initiatives.
• Prepare EHSS reports and performance indicators.
