Job summary

Apleona Ireland is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Plumbing Technician for a full-time, on-site role based in Dublin 2. You will maintain and repair plumbing systems in a commercial facilities environment, perform scheduled and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and ensure safe operation of water, drainage, and heating systems.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Equipment maintenance and maintenance & repair for plumbing systems and related building services.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, with the ability to identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.
• Experience in industrial maintenance within commercial, pharmaceutical, or similar technical facilities environments.
• Recognized plumbing qualification or trade certification, with relevant apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations, building codes, and best practices for safe work on live sites.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the capacity to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Full, clean driving license and flexibility for occasional out-of-hours work or emergency call-outs considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on domestic and industrial plumbing installations.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation of water, drainage, and heating systems.
• Carry out preventive maintenance tasks, supporting wider building maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with other technical team members and site management to minimize downtime for clients.
• Document work completed, adhere to health and safety procedures, and comply with company and client standards.
