Medmark Occupational Healthcare seeks an experienced occupational health nurse to drive regulatory compliance and manage records, equipment and programmes across our OCC health services in Ireland. You will lead the annual policy review, oversee pre-employment medicals and reports, and coordinate vaccination clinics with cross-disciplinary teams.

You will conduct risk assessments, supervise VDU ergonomics, and develop wellbeing strategies to reduce absenteeism, while liaising with OHPs, GPs,

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised qualification in Occupational Health; students pursuing OH qualifications considered.
• Registered General Nurse with valid NMBI registration.
• Competency in audiometry, spirometry, vision screening, phlebotomy, VDU ergonomics and vaccination administration.
• Excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal, empathy and listening skills.
• Strong organisational and planning skills with proven delivery of key tasks to a high professional standard.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in occupational health nursing.

Responsabilités

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations.
• Secure and develop records, equipment and programmes for occupational health services.
• Oversee annual review of Occupational Health Policies and Procedures in line with legislation, business changes and audit requirements.
• Complete pre-employment medicals, interpret results and compile reports.
• Carry out risk assessments across the organisation.
• Coordinate VDU Ergonomics programme and assessment.
• Devise a plan to improve employee wellbeing and reduce absenteeism.
• Liaise with OHPs, GPs, Physiotherapists and Consultants in case management.
• Develop return-to-work plans after injury or prolonged ill health.
• Manage and follow-up needle-stick/splash injuries.
• Provide reports/updates to Managers.
• Coordinate vaccination clinics for influenza/hepatitis B etc.

Your mission

• Responsible for securing and developing all records, equipment and programmes related to occupational health services
• Annual review of all Occupational Health Policies and Procedures in line with legislation, business changes and audit requirements.
• Completion of pre-employment medicals, interpretation of results and compiling reports
• Carry out risk assessments across the organization as required.
• Co-ordinate completion of VDU Ergonomics programme and completion and assessment of same.
• Devise a clear coordinated plan to improve employee wellbeing and reduce absenteeism levels.
• Liaising with OHPs, GPs, Physiotherapists and Consultants in managing cases.
• Developing return to work plans following serious injury or a period of prolonged ill health.
• Management and follow-up of needle stick/splash injuries.
• Provision of relevant reports/updates to Managers.
• Coordination of vaccination clinics for influenza/hepatitis B etc.

Your profile

• A recognised qualification in Occupational Health is essential for this role. (We are open to meeting students currently working towards an Occupational Health qualification)
• Registered General Nurse with a valid NMBI registration

• Excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal, empathy and listening skills.

• Strong team member with proven ability to establish and maintain effective working people relationships.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in occupational health nursing.
