Job summary

An energy solutions company in Midleton, Ireland is looking for an O&M Technician to oversee operations and maintenance of photovoltaic plants. Job description

Our Operation & Maintenance department is looking for an O&M Technician, at Lysaghtstown in Midelton - Cork, who will have the following responsibilities:

  • Drawings and wiring diagrams interpretation;
  • Attending and support to emergencies on the PV plants of his area, or any other geographies where Voltalia is managing PV plants;
  • Participating in integrated commissioning and start-up activities in any other geographies where Voltalia is managing PV Plants;
  • Assuring compliance with KPI’s contractually defined with customers and correspondent interfacing;
  • Analyzing and finding solution of technical issues that occur in a photovoltaic installation;
  • Assuring compliance with all company procedures and guidelines;
  • Conducting maintenance services of electrical components;
  • Conducting failures diagnostic and troubleshooting;
  • Elaborate maintenance reporting;
  • Following-up reports of the operation and maintenance activities;
  • Assuring compliance the preventive maintenance plan for all equipment;
  • Conducting operation and resolution of all existing faults;
REQUIREMENTS
  • High School - Electricity Professional Studies (preferred);
  • 3 years of experience in similar functions;
  • Knowledge of maintenance management processes and systems;
  • Knowledge of Medium Voltage and Power Electronics;
  • Knowledge of Technical Design;
  • Knowledge of photovoltaic solar energy (Wind, Hydroelectric energy or other is a plus);
  • Microsoft Office domain;
  • English Proficiency (mandatory);
  • Availability to travel abroad for limited periods and on short notice;
