Job summary

HSE West North West Region invites applications for a Clinical Nurse Manager 3 – AMRIC, based at Galway University Hospitals. The role focuses on vascular access team leadership, quality, patient safety and infection control within the AMRIC framework.

The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive experience in vascular access device insertion, care improvement projects, and cross‑site collaboration. The closing date is 9 October 2026 and interviews will be held soon after.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate depth and breadth of experience in quality, patient safety, resource and risk management, as relevant to the role.
• There may be a requirement to work out of hours to include evenings, weekends and night duty.
• Demonstrate depth and breadth of significant experience in vascular access device insertion, practice development and/or Infection Prevention and Control, as relevant to the role.
• Demonstrate depth and breadth of significant experience in leading projects, surveillance, quality improvement, clinical audit, care bundle implementation, and delivery of training and education relevant to vascular access and the role.
• Demonstrate depth and breadth of experience of managing and working collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders, as relevant to the role.
