Job summary

QCS Staffing Ltd in Cork, Ireland, is seeking an NPI Manufacturing Engineer for an initial 18-month contract in the Life Sciences sector. You will support New Product Introduction, develop manufacturing processes for cleanroom assembly, and ensure production readiness.

Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to transfer designs to manufacturing, develop process documentation, and implement contamination-control compliant assembly processes.

Qualifications

• Level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Extensive experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, with preference for medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries.
• Understanding of cleanroom operations and contamination control practices (experience is a strong advantage).
• Knowledge of process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ).

Responsibilities

• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including process development, equipment selection, and production readiness for cleanroom assembly.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing process documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, process flow diagrams, and validation protocols.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production) to ensure smooth transfer from design to manufacturing.
• Assist in the design and implementation of cleanroom-compliant assembly processes, ensuring adherence to contamination control and regulatory requirements.
