Job summary

Custom Compost in Ballyminaun Hill, Gorey, Co. Wexford, is seeking an Horticulture Operative to join a team responsible for preparing raw materials and overseeing mushroom substrate production through to dispatch of finished product.

The role includes on-the-job training on standard operating procedures and compliance with legislation. Standard hours are 39 per week with potential overtime and some flexibility in days/hours to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in horticulture or substrate production preferred.
• On-the-job training provided on SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Able to work as part of a team and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare raw materials for mushroom substrate production and oversee daily operations.
• Assist with dispatch of finished product and ensure quality standards are met.
• Adhere to company SOPs, health and safety regulations, and training provided.
