Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:**PRIMARY ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES**Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following:* Providing technical leadership for new product introduction, in support of clinical and commercial campaigns* Direct input to the technology transfer team/sub-team, and execution of supporting activities in the operations suites* Development of strategies for technical studies, and the execution of process and cleaning validation programs.* Acting as process Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the support of process investigations.* Identification of innovation opportunities, support process optimisation projects including yield improvement and/or cycle time optimisation* Use of risk management techniques to identify risks and develop mitigation actions* Lead technical studies/ projects on site and play a key role in the coaching and development of the MS&T and Manufacturing teams.* Maintain continuous focus on quality and safety compliance, in addition to operational excellence in the implementation of improvements & solutions* Responsible for the use of process engineering systems and approaches for equipment design, specification and performance, generation of technical reports, process modelling, risk management and integration of process equipment systems.**THE CANDIDATE**This role requires an individual with a minimum of 2:1 BSc / BEng preferably with some directly-related experience in academia, pharmaceutical or biotechnology company – with a working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices.A self-starter and results-focussed, the successful candidate will have strong contemporary knowledge, and the ability to work independently and on multidisciplinary teams.
