Band 2 Clinical Imaging Assistant FULL TIME - 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK

The United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust is one of the largest Trusts in the country, providing acute services across the county of Lincolnshire. We are seeking a Clinical Imaging Assistant to work alongside the MRI Radiographers, Radiologists and support staff, to provide high quality MR imaging to the patients of Lincolnshire. You will be working with a dedicated team on a 1.5 Tesla MRI scanner. The role is very diverse and at times challenging. Safety in the MRI environment is paramount. Our team work efficiently and positively for the benefits of the trust and patients with a supportive team and we are looking to recruit an energetic, well‑motivated individual who is able to provide patient care, work within a multi disciplinary team within a technically challenging environment.

This is a pan‑trust role.

The MRI service is open from 07:20 to 20:30 hrs daily, 7 days a week across multiple ULTH sites. A flexible approach to the working day is essential.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support the radiographers to obtain high quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging. This will entail assisting and positioning patients on the scanner and using advanced clinical equipment under supervision. There is an expectation in this role that you will contribute to organising the workload which involves liaising with a multi‑disciplinary team. As part of this role cannulation training will be undertaken to ensure the smooth work flow of patients.
