Job summary

Sedgwick Ireland is seeking a Motor Claims Team Leader to lead a high-performing team of motor damage claim handlers. You will provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to ensure accurate and efficient claims handling while upholding client requirements and service standards.

The role combines people leadership with strong motor claims expertise, working with clients and stakeholders to drive service excellence and continuous improvement across the function.

Qualifications

  • Motor Claims Leadership Experience—Proven experience leading, coaching or supervising claims professionals within motor claims.
  • Motor Claims Expertise—Strong knowledge of Motor Damage claims processes and lifecycle.
  • Professional Qualifications—CIP qualification (or higher) is essential.
  • Quality Assurance experience would be advantageous.
  • Client Relationship Management—Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Technical Proficiency—Strong IT literacy and experience using claims systems/databases.
  • Performance & Operational Management—Experience managing team performance against KPIs and SLAs.
  • Quality & Technical Knowledge—Strong technical claims knowledge and ability to support colleagues on complex claims.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset—Identify opportunities to enhance processes and efficiency.
  • Communication & Influencing Skills—Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Lead a high-performing motor claims team while delivering outstanding service. Join Sedgwick as a Motor Claims Team Leader to manage, support, and develop a team of motor damage claim handlers. Combining people leadership with technical claims expertise, you will oversee the effective handling of motor claims and complaints, ensuring exceptional customer outcomes, strong client relationships and delivery against key service standards. Acting as a key technical referral point, you’ll support the handling of complex claims and complaints while ensuring claims are managed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with client requirements, regulatory obligations and internal quality standards.   • Motor Claims Expertise – Strong knowledge of Motor Damage claims processes, and procedures accompanied by experience of handling claims through their lifecycle
  • Professional Qualifications – CIP qualification (or higher) is essential
  • Quality Assurance experience would be advantageous
  • Client Relationship Management – Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Technical Proficiency – Strong IT literacy, including experience using claims management systems and databases
