Job summary

Mobile Fox Repairs Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated technician to diagnose, repair, test and maintain mobile devices such as iPhones, iPads, tablets, laptops and MacBooks while delivering high standard of customer service.

The role requires hands-on experience with hardware and software faults, ability to work independently or in a team, and commitment to health and safety in a busy workshop in Kilkenny, Ireland.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing smartphones, tablets and laptops.
• Strong understanding of electronic components and diagnostic techniques.
• Experience repairing Apple and Samsung devices.
• Ability to perform hardware replacement and software troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail with good organization and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose hardware and software faults in mobile phones, tablets, laptops and MacBooks.
• Carry out screen, battery, charging port, camera and speaker repairs.
• Perform motherboard troubleshooting and component-level repairs.
• Carry out water-damage diagnostics, software installation, updates, data backup and recovery where applicable.
• Repair Apple iPhone, iPad and MacBook devices, Samsung smartphones and tablets, Android devices from various manufacturers, and Windows laptops.
• Test repaired devices to ensure quality and functionality.
• Maintain accurate repair records and inventory.
• Provide technical advice and support to customers.
• Keep the workshop clean, organized and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Stay up to date with new repair technologies and manufacturer procedures.
