Job summary

National Standards Authority of Ireland is seeking three Certification & Inspection Officers in Dublin to join a specialist team within the Modern Methods of Construction department. You will manage Agrément Certification contracts, coordinate technical assessments, and prepare certificates and reports for building products and MMC systems.

Travel may be required and fixed-term contracts are available. Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree with at least five years in construction,

Qualifications

• University or technical college engineering degree (NFQ 8+).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the construction sector.
• Degree in civil or structural engineering or equivalent.
• Familiarity with CE Marking, Irish Building Regulations, and MMC concepts.
• Good knowledge of BIM and report writing.

Responsibilities

• Manage product/building system assessment contracts for Agrément Certification.
• Process applications and prepare contract offers and work programmes.
• Initiate contracts, progress, and liaise with clients and subcontractors.
• Prepare specifications, assess tests, and evaluate reports for certifications.
• Draft inspection plans for MMC buildings and publish certificates.
• Conduct site inspections and maintain confidential client records.
• Promote Agrément Certification services to industry and agencies.
• Limited overseas travel may be required.

Education

Engineering degree (NFQ 8+)

Civil or structural engineering degree

Knowledge of Building Regulations and CE Marking

Knowledge of product testing, QC, report writing

Excellent computer skills (MS Office)
