Job summary

Pinterest is seeking a Machine Learning Intern in Dublin to apply ML and AI to product and engineering challenges. You’ll work with engineering, product and data teams to prototype, evaluate and improve ML-powered features and discovery experiences.

You’ll own a scoped ML project from problem definition through experimentation and communication of results. The role covers applying ML techniques such as NLP or graph-based methods to ranking and discovery, ads and search.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master's or PhD in CS, ML, NLP or related field.
• Experience with ML concepts and research projects.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Java, C++, Python) or ML framework (TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLflow).
• Familiarity with big data tech (Hadoop/Spark) and streaming systems.

Responsibilities

• Apply ML/AI to product and engineering challenges, prototype and evaluate features.
• Own a scoped ML project from problem definition through experimentation and results communication.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and data teams and document code/tests.
• Deliver milestones and share findings with team, seeking guidance when needed.
