Job summary

Wexford Veterinary Hospital in Ireland is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our busy, friendly mixed practice. You’ll work with a balance of farm and companion animals, with scope for leadership in our large animal service for experienced vets and a supportive environment for graduates.

We offer a competitive salary package, a company vehicle, 40-hour week, 1-in-4 on-call rota, relocation support, and generous CPD with funded certificates, pension contributions and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• VCI registered Veterinary Surgeon with good clinical judgement.
• Comfortable with mixed and farm animal work.
• Able to work independently during farm visits and emergencies.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Mix of large and small animal work with a focus on farm animals and companion animals.
• Lead or support development of our large animal service for experienced vets.
• Perform farm visits and emergency call-outs as required.
• Collaborate with a team to deliver high-quality patient care and client service.
