Job Description

Farm Solutions Ltd are seeking a Milking Operations Manager in Termonfeckin Co. Louth for a 155 dairy cow herd. We are seeking a candidate that has dairy farm experience with the following key responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in milking while leading and supervising the team.
  • Allocate, coordinate, and assist with daily milking tasks.
  • Ensure consistent compliance with all milking protocols and hygiene standards.
  • Monitor SCC, TBC, yields, mastitis indicators, and other key performance metrics.
  • Manage cow-flow, drafting systems, and parlour throughput.
  • Identify, address, and report animal health concerns.
  • Oversee and perform hygiene procedures, wash cycles, chemical usage, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records for milking, hygiene, equipment, and herd performance.
  • Train and support staff in milking protocols, safety, and best practices.
  • Monitor parlour equipment performance and coordinate servicing and repairs as required.

Minimum of 39 hours per week, remuneration of €34,000 + performance incentives and bonuses (with potential to increase based on experience). Accommodation provided on the farm.
