Job summary

Aerogen is seeking a Metrology Engineer to develop, maintain and improve measurement systems used in manufacturing and product development. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, R&D and suppliers to ensure products meet specifications, while supporting process validation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications include 3+ years in medical device/pharma metrology, a STEM degree, and hands-on experience with CMMs, Smartscope and related inspection tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum level 8 or higher STEM Qualification.
• Three years' experience in the medical device or pharma sectors.
• Experience in introduction of measurement systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement dimensional inspection and measurement methods.
• Operate and program metrology equipment (CMMs, optical comparators, Smartscope, laser scanners, vision systems).
• Create and maintain inspection plans.
• Complete IQ/OQ/PQ validation activities and Test Method Validation.
• Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Gauge R&R, and capability studies.
• Support quality investigations, CAPAs, non-conformance analysis, and root cause investigations.
• Provide day-to-day technical support for production metrology systems.
• Align data management tools and develop automated inspection/reporting solutions.
