Job description

Lynch’s Bakery require a Merchandiser / Delivery Driver, 2-4 days a week with full week hours available for their growing Bakery. The successful candidate must have a full driver’s licence and must be over 25 years old for insurance reasons.

This job would suit someone organised with the ability to work on their own initiative. Suitable for an outgoing person who likes to meet new people and with a drive for the challenge on increasing sales. Job comes with a competitive wage plus a commission based contract model.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods
  • Adhere to company operating policies and procedures
  • Loading, transporting and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe and timely manner
  • Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied
  • Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles
  • Managing stock levels in stores and return levels
  • Merchandising stock within stores to a high level
  • Reviews and verifies invoices and purchase requests to ensure accuracy
  • Collect signature or payment if necessary upon arrival to the recipient client
  • Maintains delivery logs and records
  • Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules
  • Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record
  • Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc
  • Notify supervisors about any major repairs and maintenance's
  • Keep vehicle organised, clean and safe
GENERAL
  • Any other duties that may be assigned to you by the Assistant Store Manager/Store Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience as Delivery Driver
