Due to continued growth across Ireland and our strategic expansion into Europe, Sensori Group's Project Division is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Estimator to join our Dublin-based team.

Sensori Group specialises in delivering a wide range of MEP projects across various sectors including government, healthcare, education, commercial, and Data Centres.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate tender documents for commercial viability, technical risks, and competitiveness, and prepare detailed internal reports.
  • Interpret and fully understand client tender documentation and project requirements.
  • Accurately estimate labour, material, plant, and equipment costs.
  • Issue detailed material and subcontractor enquiries for pre-designed projects and follow up to ensure timely return of quotations.
  • Manage estimating processes and systems in coordination with the Line Manager, maintaining up-to-date labour rates and prime cost data.
  • Prepare final tender submission packages, including drafting, compilation, and presentation for senior management approval.
  • Liaise with the Procurement team and supply chain to ensure competitive subcontractor and supplier pricing.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and equipment quotations for compliance, scope coverage, and commercial value.
  • Prepare project preliminaries based on programme duration, logistics, and project specifics.
  • Consolidate final estimates with the Commercial team to finalise competitive bids.
  • Support post-submission activities including clarification responses and feedback review.
  • Conduct site surveys and walkdowns, assessing existing systems and incorporating findings into the tender return.
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ mechanical estimating experience in the Irish construction market.
  • Strong knowledge of the Irish supply chain and familiarity with local design consultants.
  • Proven ability to independently develop mechanical tender submissions for complex projects valued at €3–5M+.
  • Experience in data centre and/or design & build projects is highly advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and detail-oriented approach.
Qualifications
  • A trade qualification, Quantity Surveying or Mechanical Engineering background is desirable.
