SSE plc is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician at Tarbert Power Station to maintain critical mechanical plant. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, support projects, and contribute to outages while prioritising safety.
You will manage contractors, handle isolations and permits, keep accurate records, and identify improvements. A National Craft Certificate in Mechanical Engineering and experience in safety-critical environments are required.
Base Location: Tarbert Power Station, County Kerry
Salary: €41,600 -€62,400 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the equipment that helps keep the power station operating safely, reliably and efficiently.
Working as part of the engineering team, you'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance, support plant improvement projects and contribute to outage activities across the site. This is an opportunity to work on a wide range of critical equipment while developing your technical skills within a safety-focused environment.
Experience of pumps, valves, rotating equipment, compressors, hydraulic systems, engineering drawings or mechanical contractor management would be advantageous. However, we welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate transferable skills and a willingness to learn.
