Avonmore Electrical Co. Ltd, Ireland’s leading Electromechanical Repair and Installation company are looking for Qualified Mechanical Fitters to join our Workshop Department. We’re looking for someone with strong mechanical instincts who’s ready to take on a challenge.

Whether you are a qualified Mechanical Fitter ready to bring your experience to our Workshop, or you’ve worked as a Mechanic or within the Mechanical Industry before, this could be your next step.

We’re Looking For Someone Who Has
  • Qualification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent.
  • 4 years’ experience in a similar work environment.
  • Experience in mechanical roles with a solid mechanical aptitude.
  • Working knowledge of aspects of electro/mechanical equipment (motors, pumps, gearboxes, fans) would be an advantage
  • Good record keeping ability of each job worked (internal record keeping systems).
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written are a necessity.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team while also working to set timeframes.
  • Flexibility in working practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities with the ability to feedback information to project staff.
  • Has a strong work ethic.
  • Has flexibility to working hours.
  • Complies with H&S regulations and the wearing of correct PPE.
Duties Will Include
  • Overhaul and repair of all aspects of electromechanical equipment including pumps, motors, fans and gearboxes.
  • Maintenance and repair of damaged and worn parts, servicing and assessment of components etc.
  • Working with the team in larger scale works.
  • Other duties as required in a busy Workshop environment.
