Job description

We are working with a rapidly scaling aerospace technology company that is expanding its engineering operations in Ireland. They are now looking to hire an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead their mechanical design and development team as they enter the next phase of product innovation and commercial growth.

This is a key leadership position within a high-performance engineering organisation, ideal for someone with a strong background in mechanical design, systems integration, and team management within aerospace or complex mechanical systems industries.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (Master's desirable)
• 9+ years' experience in mechanical design or systems engineering, with at least 2-3 years in a team lead or managerial capacity
• Proven experience in the aerospace, automotive, or other safety‑critical sectors
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar) and design validation tools (FEA, CFD)
• Excellent understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical integration principles
• Experience working within ISO, AS9100, or equivalent quality frameworks
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
