Johnson Controls in Dublin is seeking a Mechanical Design Specialist for the European Chiller Engineering Team. You will create and maintain 3D Creo models and assemblies, ensuring compliance with European regulations, internal standards, and customer requirements.
You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing and suppliers to deliver robust, manufacturable products. The role emphasizes drafting and BOM development, design for manufacturing, and proactive issue resolution.
As a Mechanical Design Specialist, you will play a key role in the design and development of industrial chiller products for the European market. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining detailed 3D designs in Creo, ensuring that products comply with European regulations, internal engineering standards, manufacturing requirements, and customer specifications. Working as part of the European Chiller Engineering Team, you will collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, suppliers, and production facilities to deliver robust, manufacturable products. This role requires strong technical expertise combined with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing-based mechanical design, with experience developing products that can be efficiently produced and assembled in a manufacturing environment.
Based in Dublin with an expectation of 4 days per week in the office. Occasional travel within Europe, typically up to 3 trips per year, primarily to manufacturing plants and project meetings. #LI-Hybrid #GOSIA
